CHILDREN

The "childrens course"
is divided into two sections. One is for children up to eight
years of age (indicatively from the first to the third year
of primary school, "children2"), the other
for children from nine to thirteen years of age ("children1").
The lessons aim to develop the basic
motor requisites and provide the children with the tools for
a gradual deepening of their own emotional and mental spheres.
The physical, emotional and mental are the elements on which
aikid? works, through individual, pair and group exercises.
Particular attention is given to behaviour in the dôjô
and to the sense of respect and reciprocal collaboration.
At the end of the annual cycle of lessons,
an end-of-course demonstration is traditionally held.
